Information we collect
We collect information you provide to create and access your account, including your name, email address, username, sign-in provider identifiers, and a profile photo supplied by your sign-in provider. We also process subscription status and app activity needed to provide Six Degrees, such as challenge progress, completions, statistics, friends, reactions, and saved movie lists.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate your account, sync progress, provide gameplay and social features, process Pro access, maintain streaks and leaderboards, respond to support requests, and protect the reliability and security of the service.
Apple subscriptions
Purchases are processed by Apple. We receive and store subscription identifiers, product information, status, and renewal or expiration dates needed to unlock Pro features and prevent a purchase from being linked to more than one Six Degrees account.
Notifications
If you opt in, Six Degrees uses local notifications on your device for daily challenge reminders. You can change or disable notification access in iPhone Settings.
Service providers
We share data only with providers needed to authenticate, host, secure, process subscriptions for, and operate the app. Six Degrees uses movie and actor information supplied through The Movie Database (TMDB). We do not sell personal information, track you across other companies' apps or websites, or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and gameplay data while your account is active and as needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can permanently delete your account and associated app data from Settings in the app.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your personal information. To make a request, email support@sixdegrees.app.
